MyCNBox shipping, explained

What your international shipping fee is really made of — destination, weight, size and route — how to estimate it before you commit, and the practical ways spreadsheet shoppers keep it down. Exact rates change by route and date, so always confirm with a live quote.

The short version

How your shipping fee is decided

Your first MyCNBox payment covers the product and China domestic shipping only. International shipping is quoted separately, after the warehouse receives and packs your items, because the real weight and size are only known then. The fee depends on your destination, the chargeable weight, the parcel size and the route you choose — and if the final cost is lower than the estimate you paid, the difference is returned to your MyCNBox balance.

Cost factors

What drives the number

Destination

Every country has its own routes and rates. The same parcel can cost very differently to the US, UK, EU or elsewhere, and some destinations have fewer available lines.

Chargeable weight

You are billed on the greater of actual weight or volumetric weight (length x width x height divided by a route divisor). Light but bulky parcels are usually charged on volume, not the scale.

Parcel size

Dimensions matter beyond weight: some routes cap length or total size, and oversize parcels can trigger surcharges or be pushed onto a different, pricier line.

Route and speed

Economy lines cost less but move slower and may restrict certain categories; faster express services cost more but add speed and clearer tracking.

Surcharges

Remote-area delivery, oversize handling and certain sensitive categories can add fees on top of the base rate, depending on the carrier and destination.

Duties and taxes

Import duty and VAT are set by your own country's rules and the declared value, not by MyCNBox. Some routes are more tax-sensitive than others.

Ways to pay less

Lower the fee without cutting corners

  • Consolidate several orders into one parcel — usually the single biggest saving, since you pay one base fee instead of several.
  • Ask the warehouse to remove bulky shoe boxes or excess packaging to cut volumetric weight — but keep boxes when you actually need them.
  • Compare the routes shown at checkout; the cheapest line is not always the slowest for your country.
  • Apply shipping coupons at parcel submission, where they reduce the international fee.
  • Split fragile, high-value or restricted items into their own parcel to avoid holding up the rest.

Estimate first

Use the MyCNBox shipping calculator with your destination and an approximate weight before you buy, so there are no surprises at checkout. Treat it as a guide — the binding price comes from the measured parcel after warehouse intake.

Routes at a glance

Which service fits your parcel

Economy and budget lines

The lowest cost when price matters more than speed. Expect longer transit and sometimes stricter category or size limits, so check they accept your items.

Standard parcel routes

A middle ground between cost and speed, and often the default for everyday hauls to major destinations.

Express couriers

DHL, UPS or FedEx-style services move fastest with clearer tracking, at a higher price and with remote-area fees and tighter restrictions.

Tax-sensitive and special routes

Some destinations have dedicated lines that handle declaration or customs differently. Read the route notes, because volumetric rules can change the real cost.

Exactly which routes appear depends on your country and the parcel itself. MyCNBox shows the available options with live prices at checkout — that quote, not a fixed table, is the number to trust.

After you pay

Tracking and what to expect

Once the international fee is paid, MyCNBox dispatches the parcel and tracking appears in the Parcels area. The first carrier scan can lag a little after dispatch, so a quiet start is normal. For high-value shipments, keep your QC photos and any unboxing video in case you need an after-sales or insurance claim.

Before you submit

Double-check your address and declaration: official help notes the international address cannot be changed once the parcel ships. Optional insurance is route-dependent and needs eligibility plus evidence to claim.
