T-Shirts: The Category That Ships Itself

Cotton tees shrink, so factor a first-wash allowance into your sizing, especially in the length. If a shirt measures right on the chart but is 100% cotton, expect it to tighten slightly after a hot wash and dry.

One practical inspection tip: check the collar and hem stitching. Cheap tees show wavy, loose stitching at the neckline and a collar that loses its shape quickly. A double-needle hem and a firm rib collar are signs of a better make.

On the logistics side there is little to worry about. Tees weigh almost nothing, so you will rarely hit volumetric penalties, and they double as soft padding around fragile goods in a consolidated parcel. Plain apparel clears customs simply in most destinations, though branded graphics are the thing that draws a second look, so keep quantities sensible.
